MD. Dr. Olusegun Joseph Babafemi, was born on 13th April 1966. He had his primary education in both Kogi and Oyo States and secondary education in Titcombe College, Egbe. He graduated from University of Ilorin in 1990, where he received awards as the best graduating doctor in Neuropsychiatry and Community Medicine. He had his medical housemanship training at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital ,Ilorin and did his NYSC scheme in General Hospital, Ikeja ( now LASUTH). He started his medical career in 1992 at Lagos Chest clinic, later worked at Mainland Hospital, Yaba, as Medical Officer from where he proceeded to LUTH for residency program. He bagged the fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College (Nephrology) in 2008. He worked in General Hospital Gbagada between 2005 and 2017, as Senior Registrar and later Consultant Nephrologist. Dr. Babafemi was appointed as Medical Director, Agbowa General Hospital, in July 2017, where he supervised notable service expansion in the hospital which included; establishment of functional Paediatrics unit, setting up of radiology unit, commencement of ultrasound services, setting up of cardiovascular lab and starting of HDU, among other achievements. He had training on advances in dialysis and kidney transplant, both at University Hospital, Magdeburg, Germany and Lister Hospital, Stevenage, UK. He is a fellow of International Society of Nephrology. He has also attended Leadership Academy of Daystar Christian center, and leadership and Management course in HLA Africa. He is an alumnus of Leadership Management in Health care, University of Washington.
He is a Christian, married to Oluwatoyin, and their union is blessed with children
